Safety for ozempic Malaysia

Important Safety Information for Ozempic in Malaysia:

  1. Do not share your Ozempic pen: Sharing the pen, even with a changed needle, can lead to serious infections for both parties.

  2. Possible thyroid tumours, including cancer: Notify your healthcare provider if you experience a lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing, or shortness of breath, as these may be symptoms of thyroid cancer. Studies with rodents have shown a potential link between Ozempic Malaysia and thyroid tumours, but it is uncertain if this applies to humans. Do not use Ozempic if you or your family have a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

  3. Allergic reactions: Do not use Ozempic Malaysia if you are allergic to semaglutide or any of its ingredients. Seek medical attention immediately if you experience symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing, severe rash or itching, fainting, dizziness, or a very rapid heartbeat.

  4. Pancreatitis: Stop using Ozempic Malaysia and contact your healthcare provider if you have severe, persistent abdominal pain that may radiate to your back.

  5. Vision changes: Inform your healthcare provider of any changes in vision during Ozempic treatment.

  6. Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia): Your risk may increase if Ozempic Malaysia is used with other medications causing low blood sugar. Symptoms include dizziness, blurred vision, anxiety, irritability, sweating, slurred speech, hunger, confusion, shakiness, weakness, headache, fast heartbeat, and jitteriness.

  7. Kidney problems: Diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting in individuals with kidney problems can lead to dehydration, potentially worsening kidney issues. Ensure adequate fluid intake.

  8. Serious gallbladder problems: Contact your healthcare provider promptly if you experience upper stomach pain, fever, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), or clay-coloured stools.

  9. Common side effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and constipation are the most frequently reported side effects of Ozempic.
